In a report in their “subscriber” section, the Sacramento Business Journal is reporting that a retail center project is coming near Elk Grove’s unfinished outlet mall. The center will have six restaurants, two hotels and a gas station/convenience store. The project known as Lent Ranch Marketplace was approved by the Elk Grove Planning Commission last night.
The project location is south of the outlet mall and south of Kammerer Road. Three of the restaurants will be fast food restaurants. The two hotels will have over 100 rooms each. Project developer Martin Feletto was quoted in the story as saying that construction will begin on their project once construction resumes on the outlet mall. He said the first project would be the gas station and convenience store. No word on which restaurants or hotels will be part of the project.
The news of the retail development comes on the heels of what has been a busy week for Elk Grove with the community meeting for the proposed Wilton Rancheria Casino and word of an additional retailer joining the Elk Grove Outlet Mall
The gas station will located in the red circle in the map below with the 3 fast food restaurants nearby
The map below shows the entire development project including the mall and casino. The mall and casino are projects A & E. The other projects surrounding the mall will be commercial with multi-family residential included in site H.
