City Council District 1 Darren Suen
City Council District 3 Steve Detrick
CSD Board Gil Albiani
CSD Board Michelle Orrock
EGUSD Area 3 Chet Madison, Sr.
EGUSD Area 6 Marlon Hill
In making its endorsements, the EGCPAC noted that a great deal of discussion and research went into this year’s endorsements. The candidates’ experience, knowledge and track record, where available, were examined and the endorsements were not taken lightly. The EGCPAC took note of the candidates’ support for a strong local economy and job creation and history of proactively working together to achieve a viable economic development strategy.
“We look for candidates with a record and/or the drive to, not only support the businesses we have, but to develop and help new businesses find a place in our community”, Said Oscar O’con, Chairman of the board. “In order to ensure a strong local economy, we need elected officials who will work to continue to improve the business climate and to foster economic growth and job creation. The Chamber PAC believes the candidates endorsed today represent the best choices for voters seeking a healthy and vibrant community.”
Candidates who submitted timely questionnaires were invited to be interviewed by the EGCPAC Board of Directors, with questions focusing on key elements of the Elk Grove economy, job creation and growth, and business development.
All of the candidates for Mayor have been invited to participate in a candidate forum at Valley Hi Country Club on September 30th at 11:30 am. Tickets for the event are available by contacting the Chamber at 916.691.3760 or by visiting the website at www.elkgroveca.com.
