Suspect:  ESCOBEDO, LAWRENCE (HMA, 36, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was operating a motor vehicle that was involved in a collision with another vehicle. Officers arrived and contacted S-1.  Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment. While at the hospital, S-1 was issued a misdemeanor citation and released.

Suspect:  RUSSELL, COURTNEY (BMA, 46, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, S-1 struck V-1 several times in the face and head. V-1 suffered visible injuries that required medical treatment. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1. S-1 was arrested then transported to the main jail.
