Elk Grove police arrest one in residential armed robbery, two more being sought

 

Elk Grove police have arrested one man in an armed robbery that took place in the 8600 block of Jenrose Way. Two more suspects are being sought in the crime that took place early Sunday morning.  According to the police report, a victim was approaching a home when three black males pushed into the home. There were other family members home at the time. One of the men was armed with a handgun.  The suspects threatened the occupants before stealing a purse and fleeing the home in an unknown direction.

 

Investigators determined that a home in the 5900 block of Livorno Way was connected to the robbery.  A search warrant was obtained and SWAT was called in to assist.  Marcus Smith, 20, of Elk Grove was detained as he left the home.  The stolen property was found in the home and Smith was arrested.
