Elk Grove police arrest man attempting to break into a vehicle

 

Saturday afternoon Elk Grove police arrested a man that was seen attempting break into a locked vehicle, while in possession of a stolen vehicle.  The man was observed by a witness attempting to break into a vehicle at the 2900 block of Laguna Blvd, near Laguna Main Street.  The witness saw the man get into a vehicle and drive to another part of the parking lot.  Officers arrived and detained 37 year old Nicholas Mackenzie. A records check of the vehicle the suspect was driving came back as being stolen. Mackenzie was also in possession of a burglary tool. He was transported to jail.
