Elk Grove hosts town hall on race relations

Last night the Elk Grove City Council and community members hosted a town hall to discuss race relations in the city. The series of meetings is a result of the racist notes left at an old town business in September.  Future meetings are planned to discuss the best ways to move forward and address issues dealing with race relations

The meeting was held at the Park Pavilion at Elk Grove Park.  There was a standing room only crowd that attended. Many residents spoke on their own experiences dealing with racism in Elk Grove.  The meeting lasted nearly 4 hours.

Elk Grove Laguna Forums broadcast the entire meeting live on Facebook.
