Petsmart and Burlington Coat Factory hit by violent shoplifters over the weekend

 

Shoplifters turned robbers hit both stores over the weekend, assaulting an employee in one incident and threatening to stab another in a second incident.

 

On Saturday shortly before 2 pm, an employee at the Elk Grove Petsmart location attempted to stop two shoplifters leaving with merchandise.  Suspect #1,  described as an African American female, 40-50 years old, 5’3”, and 170-180 pounds, grabbed the employee by the hair and the pulled the employee to the ground and then punched the victim in the face several times.  The second suspect was described as an African American male, 30’s, 6’1” and thin build. The suspects fled the scene with the stolen merchandise.

 

On Sunday evening around 9:15 pm, Burlington Coat Factory was hit by 3 shoplifters.  A loss prevention employee attempted to stop the 3 suspects and was threatened that he would be stabbed. The employee backed off and the suspects fled the store and eventually got into a white colored SUV before leaving the parking lot.  The 3 suspects were described as an African American female, 30-40 years old. S-2 was described as a Caucasian male, 30-40 years old. S-3 was described as a Hispanic female, 30-40 years old.
