Elk Grove Police arrest man for throwing rock through police services building window

 

Shortly before 8 am Elk Grove police responded to a call of a suspect throwing a rock through a window at the City of Elk Grove building where police services and the city council chamber is located at 8400 Laguna Palms Way.  The suspect was seen on surveillance video picking up a rock and throwing it throw the window of the building. He was then seen getting into a car and leaving.  The building was closed yesterday in observance of President’s Day. No word on if that led to the vandalism.

 

After leaving the scene of that crime, the suspect then went to a residence near his home and through a rock through the kitchen window of that home.  Responding officers arrived and took the suspect, 22 year old Nathan Barnes of Elk Grove, into custody.  Barnes was already on probation.  The city building was closed yesterday in observance of President’s Day. No word on if that led to the vandalism.
