S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A consent search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of approximately 3 pounds of marijuana. S-1 was arrested, issued a citation and released.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 grabbed V-1 by the arms, forced V-1 down onto the bed and started to choke V-1. V-1 attempted to flee the residence, however, S-1 pinned V-1 against a wall and prevented V-1 from leaving. V-1 was eventually able to flee the residence and contacted police. Responding officers conducted a records check of S-1 and discovered S-1 to be on probation and V-1 had protective order against S-1. Officers made contact with S-1 at the residence, arrested him and transported him to the main jail.

The vehicle struck V-1’s lower body, causing minor injuries. S-1 fled the scene and was later located in a nearby business by responding officers. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.
