Elk Grove woman arrested for stealing car at gunpoint

 

Elk Grove police arrested an Elk Grove woman for stealing a car from a person that she knew, at gunpoint.

 

The incident took place on Wednesday evening, when the suspect, 24 year old Christina Romeo of Elk Grove, asked for a ride from a man she knew through social media.  During the car ride to a residence in the 8300 block of Hummingbird Way in Elk Grove, Romeo pulled out a gun and told the man to drive. Fearing for his safety, the man did as he was told. A short time later, Romeo told the man to stop the car and get out.  The victim got out of the car, and the suspect drove away.  Sacramento police later located Romeo in Sacramento. Elk Grove police took Romeo into custody and she was taken to jail.
