Elk Grove man arrested on kidnapping, false imprisonment charges

 

On Monday Elk Grove police arrested a man on multiple charges including kidnapping and false imprisonment. Officers responded to a call for service around 5:30 am and found two people in a vehicle.  The victim told police that the suspect, 29 year old Nicolaus Bacaortega of Elk Grove, had grabbed the victim by the legs and attempted to pull the victim out of the car during an argument.  Then Bacaortega drove off with the victim in the car and refused to let the victim out. The victim tried several times to exit the vehicle only to have Bacaortega pull the victim back into the car.

 

Officers arrested Bacarortega and took him to the county jail. He is charged with two felonies and three misdemeanors and is being held on $110,000 bail.
