Elk Grove pedestrian robbed at gunpoint on Saturday night

An Elk Grove pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint on Saturday.

The incident happened around 10:30 pm on Saturday night in the 9100 block of Big Horn Blvd.  A pedestrian was walking when a dark colored car pulled up along side of him.  Three suspected got out of the car, and two were armed with guns.  The victim gave up his property and the three suspects fled in the car. All three suspects were described as African American males, 20-30 years old, and tall. Suspect 1 was wearing a red shirt and was armed with a firearm.  Suspect 2 was only described as wearing a red and black shirt.

Last weekend there were two other armed robbery incidents. One with a woman sitting in a car and another that involved three pedestrians robbed by three suspects.

There was also an armed robbery at Little Caesars pizza last Monday.  The recent armed robberies once again has Elk Grove residents on edge and questioning if the city needs to hire more police officers.

Schools out. It’s 2:30 pm and 97 degrees . I’m 2 blocks from Franklin High school waiting at a red light and here comes 2 young men crossing the street. To my amazement both were wearing long sleeved sweat shirts with the hood up and tied under their chin.
    Up to no good?
