Pedestrian assaulted in attempted robbery Friday night in Lakeside area of Elk Grove

 

A pedestrian was assaulted during an attempted robbery Friday night.

 

The incident happened around 10:45 pm in the 9600 block of Lakepoint Drive, in Elk Grove’s Lakeside area.  According to police, the male victim was standing in the area when a vehicle approached and two people got out of the car.  They demanded the victim’s personal property. The victim refused and the first suspect, described as a black male, age 17-18, pushed the victim and attempted to tear his pockets.  The second suspect, a black male 19 years old, punched the victim in the face and attempted to rip his pants pocket as well, but was unsuccessful. Both suspects got back in the car and fled the scene.

    The lucky victim should do an advertisement for Levis, Wrangler or whoever manufactured those “can’t tear ’em pockets.”
