The Elk Grove Chamber’s Political Action Committee announces endorsements for November election

The Elk Grove Chamber’s PAC issued a press release announcing their endorsements in local races for the November election.

The Elk Grove Chamber’s Political Action Committee (EGCPAC) announced today the following endorsements of candidates in the November 2018 election.

EGCPAC was formed in 2005 as an independent organization created specifically to improve the local economy through participation in the political process. The PAC works to protect business and employment interests by identifying and campaigning for pro-business candidates running for local and state legislative seats. The nonpartisan PAC is a completely separate organization from the Chamber and the endorsements do not reflect the opinions of the Chamber’s officers, staff, or its members.  Its decisions represent those of the EGCPAC Board. The EGCPAC serves as a vehicle for the business community to have a greater voice and impact on legislative campaigns and is supported completely by voluntary contributions of the community.

The Chamber PAC believes the candidates endorsed today represent the best choices for voters seeking a healthy and vibrant business community.”

In making its endorsements, the EGCPAC noted that a great deal of discussion and research went into this year’s endorsements.  The candidates’ experience, knowledge and track record, where available, were examined and the endorsements were not taken lightly. “We look forward to continuing to build the partnership with all of our elected representatives to help develop policies that make Elk Grove an even better place to do business,” stated Hansen.

Candidates who submitted timely questionnaires were invited to be interviewed by the EGCPAC Board of Directors, with questions focusing on key elements of the Elk Grove economy, job creation and growth, and business development.

The three candidates for Mayor of Elk Grove will participate in a Mayoral Debate at the Wackford Center, 9014 Bruceville Road, Elk Grove on September 27th 6:00-8:00 PM.  The event is open to the public.
