Three Ways to Weigh in on City Decisions

Take the Elk Grove Traffic Survey

The City is seeking your feedback about local traffic and roadway conditions. The input you provide will be considered in the development of new city projects, planning efforts and budgeting. Visit www.elkgrovecity.org/EngageEG to take the survey.

Help Select our Next City Manager

Your voice and opinion are important in the selection of Elk Grove’s next City Manager. As part of the recruitment process for selecting a new City Manager, the Mayor and City Council are seeking input from the community on what they consider to be the qualities, skills, and traits that are important for a new City Manager. Visit the City’s website at www.elkgrovecity.org to take the survey.

Take the City Budget Challenge

Take the $100 Budget Challenge for a chance to win some holiday spending cash. We’re giving away 2 $50 gift cards for local retailers every Wednesday through November 21. Only registered Elk Grove residents are eligible to win. Take the challenge at www.elkgrovecity.org/EngageEG.

Gobble Wobble

Run, walk, or wobble your way to the finish line of this family-friendly event on Thanksgiving morning. Choose the 10k, 5k, or kids’ fun run to kick off your turkey day. All event proceeds benefit Chicks in Crisis, a non-profit that helps reduce the number of infants facing abandonment, foster care, abuse, or even death. Feel good about helping others first before helping yourself to seconds this Thanksgiving Day. Register at www.eggobblewobble.com.

Old Town Elk Grove Dickens Street Faire

Catch the holiday spirit at the 31st Annual Dickens Street Faire. Historic holiday cheer will abound in Old Town with Christmas carolers and street performers, live music, pictures with Santa, bed races, kids’ crafts, food, and more than 100 street vendors. You can even begin the day by having breakfast with Santa (reservations required)! More information is available at www.dickensstreetfaire.com.

Special Meeting on Small Cell Telecommunications Technologies and Regulations

The City will be holding a special public meeting on Wednesday, November 28, at 6 p.m. to discuss small cell wireless telecommunications technologies used for 4G and 5G cellular networks. The intent is to provide information on the small cell technology and regulatory framework, and provide an opportunity for interested groups and individuals to comment on the issue of small cell technology in the City of Elk Grove. This meeting will be held in Council Chambers at 8400 Laguna Palms Way.
