Case Update- Arrest Made in Carjacking and Robbery
2 weeks ago around 8:45pm, the victim was washing his vehicle at Kelly’s Car Wash when the suspect, unknown to the victim, approached the victim and assaulted him. During the assault, the suspect took the victim’s wallet. The suspect then got into the driver’s seat of the victim’s vehicle and drove away.
The victim’s vehicle was found a couple of hours later in Sacramento and was processed for any evidence. Detectives followed up and gathered surveillance footage from the area when the incident occurred. Through the investigation, detectives were able to locate evidence and video surveillance of the suspect who was recognized by officers as 33-year-old Marco Flores of Sacramento.
Yesterday morning, detectives arrested Flores and booked him at the main jail on charges of carjacking and robbery. We would like to thank Kelly’s Car Wash and the surrounding businesses for their cooperation as the surveillance footage accelerated the investigation and assisted in the arrest of Flores.
