S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a single vehicle collision. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

V-1 was standing at an ATM when S-1 approached and punched V-1 several times. S-1 demanded V-1’s money. V-1 was unable to get any of V-1’s property and S-1 fled on foot from the area. S-1 was described as an African American male, 20-30 years old, 5’9”, approximately 170 to 200 pounds, and wearing all dark clothing.

S-1 (Washington resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed S-1 had an active warrant out for his arrest. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 slapped V-1 in the face several times causing visible injuries. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 and V-1 were involved in an argument while driving separate vehicles. As V-1 was passing S-1’s vehicle, S-1 displayed a firearm. V-1 slowed as S-1 fired one shot. The shot did not hit anything and no one was injured. S-1 fled in his vehicle northbound on Kingsbridge Dr. S-1 was described as a Hispanic male adult, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. S-1’s vehicle was a white older 2-door BMW.

Members of the community having information regarding criminal activity can send tips via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on their cell phones, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message. Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

“Tipsoft” should not be considered a replacement for contacting the Elk Grove Police Department via telephone (916) 714-5115 (non-emergency), (916) 714-5111 / 911 (emergency) or (916) 691-0411 (anonymous tip line). Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
