Shot fired in New Year’s Day road rage incident

A New Year’s Day road rage incident led to one driver firing a shot at another driver.

The incident took place around 2 pm on New Year’s Day, on Calvine Road near Merryhill Way, east of Elk Grove-Florin Road. According to the police, the victim and the suspect were involved in argument while driving separate vehicles. The victim attempted to pass the suspect, who then pulled out a gun. The victim slowed and the suspect fired one shot at the victim. Nothing was hit and there were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic male adult, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt. The suspect vehicle was an older white 2-door BMW.

Once users type in their message and press send, they will receive a confirmation text indicating that the message was received.

Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
