Elk Grove Police ask for public’s help in identifying car burglary suspects

The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the public’s help in catching two suspects who broke a window on a car and then stole a purse. Later the suspects used the credit cards. The information below was posted on the department’s Facebook page

Two unknown suspects shattered the window of the victim’s vehicle and stole her purse. The victim saw what she described as a gold colored 1990’s Mercedes driving off. Later that day, the suspects (pictured below) used the victim’s stolen credit cards at stores in south Sacramento where they and the vehicle were captured on surveillance cameras.

The male (S-1) appeared to be Caucasian, in his 20’s to ’40s, with a shaved or bald head, and a brown mustache.

The female (S-2) appeared to be Caucasian, in her 20’s to ’40s, with dark hair pulled up in a bun and a pronounced widow’s peak.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call the Elk Grove Police Department Detective Bureau at (916) 627-8117 or Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Callers to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00. Tips can also be sent via SMS text message by entering CRIMES (274637) on a cell phone, followed by Tip732 (agency identification number) and the message.
