Officers attempted to conduct a vehicle stop on a vehicle, S-1 (Illinois resident) was driving, for a vehicle code violation. S-1 refused to stop and led officers on a pursuit. During the pursuit, the suspect hit another vehicle. Officers terminated the pursuit. The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department (SSD) picked up the vehicle and the pursuit continued. Their pursuit concluded in the County of Sacramento near Power Inn Rd and Elsie Ave. The suspect fled on foot and was later taken into custody by SSD.
