Illinois man arrested after pursuit that began in Elk Grove

The Sacramento Sheriff’s Department arrested an Illinois man after a pursuit that started in Elk Grove around 9 am Thursday morning.

Elk Grove police officers attempted to pull the driver over for a vehicle code violation, when the suspect, 53 year old Jeremy Carlisle led them on a pursuit. While being pursued by Elk Grove police, Carlisle hit another vehicle. Elk Grove police called off their pursuit.

Sacramento Sheriff’s deputies located the suspect vehicle and began a pursuit that went into Sacramento County, where it ended near the intersection of Power Inn and Elsie. The suspect fled on foot and was detained by Sheriff’s deputies.

Carlisle was arrested for three felonies and one misdemeanor. He also had an active warrant from Washoe County in Nevada. He is being held at the County Jail on an extradition hold.
