Just before 9 pm on Tuesday night, Elk Grove police officers responded to a call at Kohl’s on Bruceville for shoplifters. Kohl’s security had detained one suspect, 19 year old Lucy Tompkins of Sacramento. Tompkins was wanted on an active warrant and found to be in possession of heroin.
EGPD arrested a second woman who was waiting in a car in the parking lot. 44 year old Jennifer Valadez of Sacramento was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Valadez also had an active warrant, and was in possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
The third suspect, 42 year old Casie Jones of Sacramento, was arrested as she left the store with stolen merchandize. Jones was on probation.
All three women were arrested and taken to jail.
