Suspect: ZHU, YANZHENG (AMA, 60, ARRESTED)
Detectives from the EGPD Street Crimes Unit served a two location search warrant (6700 block of San Tiago Way and 9800 block of Carico Way) related to an active marijuana cultivation operation. Detectives recovered over 640 plants and indicia related to marijuana sales. S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: JOHNSON, CHRISTINA (WFA, 37, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was contacted during a call for service. A records check revealed S-1 had an active warrant out for her arrest. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Citrus Heights resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle stopped for a vehicle code violation. A records check revealed S-1 to be on probation. A probation search of S-1’s person led to the discovery of methamphetamine. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: AYAZ, AHMAD (OMA, 40, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was observed walking in the above area and known to be on probation and had an active warrant out for his arrest. Officers attempted to stop S-1, however, S-1 fled on foot from officers. After a search of the area, S-1 was located and arrested. S-1 was transported to the main jail.

Suspect: BAGUBE, JAY (AMA, 33, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 slapped V-1 in the back of the head once and slapped V-1 in the face and arms several times. S-1 was left prior to officers’ arrival but was later located in the area and detained. A records check revealed S-1 to be on probation and V-1 had a protective order against S-1. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was observed driving a motor vehicle and known to officers to have an active warrant out for his arrest. S-1 was stopped and detained. A search of S-1’s vehicle led to the discovery of narcotic paraphernalia. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect #3: TOMPKINS, LUCY (WFA, 19, ARRESTED)
Officers responded to a call for service regarding S-2 and S-3 (Sacramento residents) shoplifting inside the store and S-1 (Sacramento resident) waiting in a vehicle in the parking lot for S-2 and S-3. Store loss prevention detained S-3 for shoplifting. A records check later revealed S-3 had an active warrant out for her arrest. A consent search of S-3’s person led to the discovery of heroin. Officers attempted to detain S-1 but S-1 became physically resistive. Officers were able to overcome S-1’s resistance and detained her. A records check revealed S-1 had an active warrant out for her arrest. A search incident to arrest of S-1’s person led to the discovery of methamphetamine and narcotic paraphernalia. S-2 exited the store with the stolen merchandise and was detained. A records check revealed S-2 to be on probation. All three suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.
