S-1 and S-2 (Sacramento residents) were contacted sitting in a parked vehicle. A record check revealed S-2 was on probation. A probation search led to the discovery of counterfeit money, equipment to make counterfeit money, narcotic paraphernalia, and methamphetamine. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Suspect:  RUIZ, MARIA (HFA, 22, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Roseville resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle involved in a collision with three pedestrians. After the collision, S-1 drove away and was later located not far from the collision by CHP. All three pedestrians were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested. S-1 was transported to the main jail.

Officers responded to a call for service regarding a disturbance. Officers arrived and detained three individuals including S-1 (Elk Grove resident). Officers learned, earlier, S-1 (known to V-1) had snatched money out of V-1’s hand and a physical altercation ensued. A record check revealed S-1 was on probation. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

Responding officers later located S-1 at his residence. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.

V-1 arranged to sell S-1 a cell phone via an online transaction site. V-1 met S-1 at a pre-arranged location. S-1 displayed a firearm and demanded V-1’s cell phone. Fearing for their safety, V-1 gave S-1 the phone. S-1 fled the scene on foot. S-1 was described as a Hispanic male juvenile, 15-18, wearing grey colored clothing.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident and known to V-1) demanded V-1’s phone. V-1 refused and S-1 then pushed V-1 and took V-1’s phone. S-1 fled on his bicycle. Responding officers located S-1 riding his bicycle and detained him. A search of S-1’s person led to the discovery of V-1’s phone. S-1 was taken into custody and then transported to juvenile hall.

Officers responded to a call for service regarding S-1 and S-2 (Sacramento residents) causing a disturbance. Officers arrived and attempted to detain both suspects. Both suspects physical resisted however, officers were able to overcome the resistance and detained both suspects. Both suspects were arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 arrived in a vehicle along with the other suspects. S-1 exited the vehicle and proceeded to take a large box of fireworks from a fireworks booth. S-1 then got back into the vehicle with the stolen fireworks. V-1 attempted to stop the suspect vehicle and was grabbed by one of the passengers. The vehicle drove off, dragging V-1. One of the suspects punched V-1 causing V-1 to fall to the ground and the suspect vehicle ran over V-1 causing injuries. The suspect vehicle fled westbound on Elk Grove Blvd. V-1 was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. S-1, S-2 and S-3 were described as African American males. S-4 and S-5 were described as unknown race female adults. The suspect vehicle was described as a dark colored SUV.

Instead, “Tipsoft” should be seen as an alternative method of contacting law enforcement to provide information regarding non-urgent illegal activity, such as unsolved cases, vandalism, graffiti, theft and narcotics related issues.
