Galt police arrest Elk Grove man for possession of drug, body armor

Early Saturday morning Galt police officers arrested an Elk Grove man for possession of drugs, pepper spray and body armor. 30 year old Thomas Nicholson of Elk Grove, is a convicted felon and unable to possess any of the above items.

Galt officers spotted a suspicious vehicle near Twin Cities Road and Stockton Blvd. They found Nicholson in the car dressed in a security officers uniform and wearing body armor. A search of the vehicle turned up three cans of pepper spray, drugs and drug paraphernalia. Nicholson was charged with being a felon in possession of body armor, pepper spray, and drugs as well as violating probation. He was taken into custody and taken to the county jail where he is being held on $590,000 bail.

Nicholson has previous arrests with the Elk Grove police department for similar crimes.

On January 28, 2018, he was arrested for being in possession of an expandable baton, pepper spray as well as a firearm.
On October 16, 2018, he was arrested for possession of pepper spray and a bullet proof vest.
