Back to School for EGUSD

Time to grab the backpacks and sack lunches for EGUSD students this year! The first day of school for year-round Tracks B, C, & D is this Thursday, July 18. Save a life, adopt a shelter animal.

Adopt a new furry friend next Saturday July 28th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at PETCO on Laguna Blvd. Elk Grove Animal Services will conduct this and other off-site adoption events in anticipation of the grand opening of the Elk Grove Animal Shelter this fall. City Seeking Nominees for the 2019 Accessibility Awards

Do you know a business, organization or individual who goes “Above and Beyond” for individuals with disabilities in Elk Grove? If so, take a moment to nominate them for the City of Elk Grove’s Disability Advisory Committee’s Accessibility Award. Applications are now available at www.elkgrovecity.org/dac. Nominations will be accepted through August 2.

Enjoy a Fairytale by the Lake

Beautiful music, traditional dance, and gorgeous costumes will take you on an enchanting journey of Princess and the Pea at the 32nd annual Strauss Festival, July 25-28. Gather your friends and family for this FREE performance in Elk Grove Park accompanied by a live orchestra. Bring a picnic or purchase food and drinks from licensed vendors. Parking is $10. Reserved bleacher seating may be purchased online at straussfestival.com.
