Officers responded to a call for service regarding a subject possibly breaking into vehicles. S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was contacted in the area standing next to a vehicle that was not associated to S-1. Stolen property was located on the ground near S-1. A record check revealed S-1 was on probation. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Sacramento resident) was the driver of a motor vehicle stopped for vehicle code violations. S-1 had two juvenile passengers in the vehicle. A record check revealed S-1 had an active warrant out for his arrest. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested.

Suspect: MERMEJO, MARCO (HMA, 26, ARRESTED)

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation when S-1 pushed V-1 down, choked V-1 and then headbutted V-1 in the face. V-1 suffered visible injuries. V-1 attempted to call 9-1-1 but S-1 grabbed V-1’s phone preventing V-1 from calling. V-1 tried to flee but S-1 dragged V-1 back to the residence. V-1 was able to break free and call for help. S-1 was arrested and then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.

As a result of the collision the driver of the other vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. S-1 and his vehicle were located in a nearby neighborhood. S-1 was taken into custody and transported to juvenile hall.

S-1 then bit V-1 on the arm causing a visible injury. S-1 proceeded to pull V-1 from the vehicle. S-1 was later located at another location, arrested and then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.
