Are you still looking for a Christmas Tree?

Green Acres has some very nice ones, they are all in water and will give you a fresh cut. They are staying open until 7:30 for people to come in and get a tree. Trees were reasonable prices, comparable to Home Depot. They had some beautiful Noble Firs. Shopping made very easy. They are out of Silver Tips, you need to shop early for those. (I’ll be first in line next year to make sure and get one). And I believe active military personnel receive a free tree.

Home Depot has a large selection, but you need to open them all yourself and go thru them. Bring scissors to cut the twine & gloves. They have a large selection of Noble, Nordman and Douglas. Prices seem a bit higher than last year, not positive. Maybe they are the same.

Bel Air on Laguna actually has a 6-7’ Noble Firs for 39.99, you can’t beat the price. They had some very nice shaped full trees.

Remember you can also shop at the Boy Scout Lots on Elk Grove/Florin and I believe the other one is at Peace Church at Franklin a block off of Laguna. Remember these trees are priced higher but they are fundraising for Boy Scouts.

I haven’t bought a “real” tree in a long time. We went and bought a California Backyard and a Costco tree 2 years ago….

Maybe when my kids are older and understand Christmas, we will go get a “real” one.

We had a fake one when our girls were little. Anything to make life easier back then, we went for it. πŸ™‚

We’ve never had a fake tree. Part of the Christmas season is going to cut down a tree. We got 7 this year. Some of you can’t even get one? Weak sauce. πŸ™‚

We still need to get ours. Maybe I’ll check green acres. We have a large family so I hate to spend too much on a tree when I still have gifts to buy. πŸ™‚

Scarlet, do you happen to remember the prices at Green Acres? I like that they are in water. Should last longer that way. Thanks.

We got our tree from the lot behind Dutch Bros. It’s a beautiful tree! But we think it may be causing my mom’s asthma to flair up. She see’s an allergist next week. :frown:

I like the Mikey’s Tree Lot on Bruceville, just south of Laguna. Terrific trees.

There is on that you see of of 99 with the huge Santa that usually closes a week before Christmas. Seems pretty packed, also the one behind Dutch Bros is a favorite it seems like.

Di – you might want to call them to double check. But I thought the 7′ noble was around 50.00 – (916) 714-5600

We only do a real tree. It’s not Christmas unless it’s a real tree.

I agree. If buying a tree is a chore so that you need to get a fake one then I think it’s losing the meaning of Christmas.

We get ours from Mikey’s on Bruceville, between Laguna & EG Blvd. We’ve been getting it there for years and are never disappointed. The trees seem fresh; they’re from Oregon. We get our tree Thankgiving weekend and it holds up nicely through the season. They give you a fresh cut and tie it to the car for you.

      A tree doesn’t make it Christmas….

Family is what makes it Christmas….

If you’re skimping on the tree, you’re skimping on other areas of Christmas then too. πŸ™‚

^ I have real bad allergies, but I never noticed if a Christmas tree made my go out of whack.

I know fresh cut grass makes me sneeze at least 10 times in a row.

I’m extremely allergic to grass and pollen. Thankfully not Christmas trees.

Davis Ranch on Jackson is closer than you think! Under 40 bucks for any size tree and it smells great πŸ™‚

We got our tree from Green Acres. They were reasonably priced, nicely shaped and sitting in buckets of water. Great experience.

If you get a tree from Home Depot, keep an eye on how they tie the tree to your car. I got mine there and it almost fell off as we drove home. They have beautiful trees though.
      $49.99 for a 6-7foot Noble Fir.

This is our place too. I think we paid $54.

I grew up with a fake tree. Its defiantly the memories of Christmas that is Christmas. Every year I got to watch Dad cuss putting up our tree, Knowing each branch by heart, looking at the tree year after year and it was exactly the same as it was the year before is meaningful. Mom and I would put up the ornaments, because Dad was done after the chaotic mess. πŸ˜‰ Fake Christmas trees were quite different, than popping them out of the box like now.

We went to Green Acres last night and they were sold out of trees. We will have to go earlier next year.

Please consider stopping by Troop 59’s tree lot on EG Florin. The scouts earn money towards camp for every tree sold. Camp this coming summer is $625.
