In a press conference at city hall, Elk Grove city manager named her selection to replace retiring police chief Robert Lehner. Current Assistant Chief Bryan Noblett was chosen. He has 30 years of law enforcement experience. He came to the EGPD from the Lodi police department in 2009. He is a 25 year resident of Elk Grove. I think that’s very important. He has seen all the changes and is familiar with the challenges facing the city and the police department. It’s a good move to keep the job in house. The EGPD does a fantastic job. They are also excellent at communicating with the public. We need to clone officer Trim so there is someone at night and weekends. 🙂
