    More annoying that the “Is your refrigerator running?” joke. 8/

    The general rule we are taught when someone asks us to do something fundamental like this is to invite them over. Play the suck-up and offer to connect them with your boss in a way that would make you sound useful to the boss. If they don’t go for that, it is a scam. If they do, it comes across as good customer service and the boss can deal with the chance it is still a prank. 8)

    Five Guys and Wendy’s fell for it. Jack in the Box and Panera Bread didn’t. They also called Boulevard Bistro too.

    I read the pranksters also called Mimi’s, however, the manager only pulled the fire alarm. Their parking lot was empty yesterday around 5:00 with the exception of local news vans.
