Anyone know a non-profit organization a 7yr old can volunteer at? My daughter has a Act of Kindness project for school and one of the choices is to volunteer at a non-profit.

Have you checked in to the EG Food Bank? I have seen young ones help there in the past.

Depending on when the project is due you can do Creek Clean up in the spring.

I have also been looking for places my 14 year old can volunteer. Project Ride is a great one and here in EG. Anyone know of any others here locally?

    She would do that! lol

Actually she really loves animals. She used to volunteer at Happy Tails Rescue but it’s a little far from home.

Ok so I guess volunteering is out, I can’t find anywhere for a 7yr old. On to the next choice on the list. Take baked goods to a firestation. Can I just stop by a station and have her give them the gift or do I need to make an appointment? I called the Sacramento metro fire district headquarters and they transferred me to a station and I left a message 2days ago and haven’t heard anything 🙁 the easiest act of kindness would to give to a homeless person on the street, but the teacher doesn’t want the kids to do that because we also need pictures.

what about having her make blankets for Project Linus? or cat and dog toys for the shelters? Maybe she can make fleece scarves and take to a shelter?

I have dropped off cookies at station 71 on EG Blvd in the past….I didn’t make an appointment, just came by.

What about taking a box of canned food goods in to the EG Food Bank?
