Location: 8400 block of Elk Grove Blvd.
Suspect: PULA, CARA (OFA, 31, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Rancho Cordova resident) and her one-year-old child were contacted at the above location regarding panhandling activities. Upon contact, officers observed that the child had an injury on her wrist that appeared to be infected. CSD fire responded to examine the injury. S-1 refused treatment for her child. S-1 also provided false information about her identity. Based on the child’s injury, officers placed her into protective custody. S-1 was arrested then processed at EGPD and released with a misdemeanor citation.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was arrested for violating the conditions of a restraining order then transported to the main jail.

S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, S-1 pushed V-1 in the arm and neck. S-1 also threw a stove cover at V-1. The object missed V-1 and struck a 10-year-old child on the toe. S-1 was arrested then transported to the main jail. V-1 was granted an emergency protective order against S-1.

Suspect: EDWARDS, SHEMEKA (BFA, 30, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was observed driving a reported stolen vehicle. Officers initiated an enforcement stop and detained S-1. S-1’s nine-year-old daughter was also a passenger in the stolen vehicle. S-1 was arrested then transported to the main jail. The juvenile was released to a relative.
