Elk Grove Police arrest in two in pot growing operation

Yesterday morning Elk Grove Police arrested two people in connection with a marijuana growing operation. Ruitai Liu, age 51 from Sacramento, and Hui Jiang age 48 from Elk Grove were arrested at 8200 Toad Hollow Way in Elk Grove when officers served search warrants at two locations. Over 1000 plants, processed marijuana, cash and indications of sales were found. Both suspects face 3 felony charges related to the arrests and are being on $500,000 bail. There is what is known as a 1275 PC Hold on the bail due to the nature of the crimes and the possibility that money used for bail could come from illegal purposes.
