Tuesday evening Elk Grove police officers arrested 23 year old Malcolm Peterson of Elk Grove after they received a call of a man chasing people through the Walmart parking lot at Whitelock and Bruceville and throwing bottles at them. When officers arrived Peterson fled on foot and was later detained. He was found to be in possession of narcotic paraphanelia and on probation. While in the back of the police car Peterson began trying to escape the handcuffs. He was placed in full body restraint system.

Officers responded to the above location regarding an individual who was chasing people through the parking lot throwing bottles at them. When officers arrived, they located S-1 (Elk Grove resident) who matched the description provided in the call. When officers identified themselves, S-1 refused to comply with instructions and fled on foot. Officers were able to detain S-1 who was found to be in possession of narcotic paraphernalia. A records check revealed that S-1 was on parole. S-1 was arrested then placed in the back seat of a police vehicle. While S-1 was being transported to the main jail, he began trying to escape from his handcuffs. S-1 was subsequently place in a full-body restraint system (WRAP) then transported to the main jail.

Put him in a sanitarium where he has access to all the drugs he could want to have and not be a danger to the public.
I agree with placing him in a mental health treatment facility…but wait, Reagan got rid of all the state hospitals! I don’t agree the reason would be to give him access to all the drugs he wants, but rather giving him access to much needed mental health therapy…to include psych meds.
