NIGHT WATCH

Location: HWY 50 / HWY 99
Suspect: SMERETSKIY, MIKHAIL (WMA, 63, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was driving a motor vehicle that was operating without headlights on during darkness. When an EGPD officer attempted to conduct a vehicle stop, S-1 did not yield and led officers on a 10.3 mile pursuit southbound on HWY 99. S-1 took the Elk Grove Blvd. exit then yielded in the 76 Gas Station parking lot. Upon contact, S-1 was detained and smelled of alcohol. A records check revealed that S-1 was on probation and that his driver’s license was suspended. S-1 was arrested then transported to the main jail.

EVENING WATCH

Location: Bruceville Rd. / Whitelock Pkwy.
Suspect: PETERSON, MALCOLM (BMA, 23, ARRESTED)
Officers responded to the above location regarding an individual who was chasing people through the parking lot throwing bottles at them. When officers arrived, they located S-1 (Elk Grove resident) who matched the description provided in the call. When officers identified themselves, S-1 refused to comply with instructions and fled on foot. Officers were able to detain S-1 who was found to be in possession of narcotic paraphernalia. A records check revealed that S-1 was on parole. S-1 was arrested then placed in the back seat of a police vehicle. While S-1 was being transported to the main jail, he began trying to escape from his handcuffs. S-1 was subsequently place in a full-body restraint system (WRAP) then transported to the main jail.

Location: 9100 block of W. Stockton Blvd.
Suspect #1: BRADLEY, CLARANCE (BMA, 31, ARRESTED)
Suspect #2: ZHUK, MIKAIK (WMA, 28, ARRESTED)
Officers responded to the above location regarding two individuals who were possibly involved in shoplifting from BevMo. When officers arrived, they located S-1 and S-2 (Sacramento residents) standing next to a vehicle that was mentioned by the caller as being involved. S-1 was contacted and found to be on probation. A search of S-1 led to the discovery of alcoholic beverages stolen from BevMo and a controlled substance. S-2 provided false information about his identity. A records check of S-2’s real name revealed that he was on probation and parole. Both suspects were arrested then transported to the main jail.

Suspect: HOLMES, TYRONE (BMA, 33, ARRESTED)
S-1 (Sacramento resident) was operating a motor vehicle that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. Upon contact, the strong odor of marijuana emanated from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of narcotics and indicia of sales. S-1 was arrested then transported to the main jail.
