Walmart armed robber arrested by Elk Grove Police

The man suspected of pulling a handgun on a Walmart employee while shoplifting Sunday night was arrested by Elk Grove Police last night. 48 year old Sacramento resident, Edgar Martinez was arrested at 4:15 pm. Due to the ongoing investigation, his booking photo has not been released.

The story about the Walmart armed robbery received a lot of views and comments on the Elk Grove Laguna Forums Facebook page and has many residents concerned and upset at the recent incidents at local stores. On Thursday a shopper at Raley’s was pushed into the store shelves and had her wallet stolen from her purse. There was another incident at the same Walmart involving a man throwing bottles at people, as well as incidents at Winco too.
