Verizon to cut 1000 jobs in Rancho Cordova 



Earlier today Verizon Wireless announced it will close its Rancho Cordova call center and cut 1000 jobs. The call center employs a number of Elk Grove residents. 
In the last 4 years Verizon has closed 8 call centers and cut over 8000 jobs. Employees will be offered jobs in Texas, South Carolina and Florida.
