ELK GROVE POLICE DEPARTMENT
Watch Summary NIGHT WATCH Time: 0107 hours S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was operating a motor vehicle that was stopped for a vehicle code violation. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 performed poorly on field sobriety tests and was arrested. DAY WATCH No major incidents or arrests logged. EVENING WATCH Time: 1614 hours S-1 (Lodi resident) was operating a motor vehicle that was involved in a collision with another vehicle. After the collision, S-1 drove away from the scene in his vehicle. Responding officers located S-1 standing outside the described suspect vehicle a short distance away. Upon contact, S-1 displayed objective signs of impairment. S-1 was arrested then transported to the main jail.
Time: 1924 hours S-1 (Elk Grove resident) was operating a motor vehicle that was weaving in and out of a lane of traffic. When an EGPD officer attempted to conduct a vehicle stop, S-1 did not yield and continued driving. S-1 continued driving for approximately 2 miles, at or below the speed limit, and obeyed all traffic laws. S-1 eventually pulled over and was arrested. S-1 was issued a misdemeanor citation then released. Time: 2348 hours S-1 (Elk Grove resident) and V-1 were involved in a verbal argument that escalated into a physical altercation. During the altercation, S-1 struck, scratched and bit V-1. As a result of S-1’s actions, V-1 suffered visible injuries. S-1 was arrested near the residence and placed in the back of a police vehicle. While traveling to the main jail, S-1 began hitting her head against the metal bars behind the passenger seat of the police vehicle. S-1 was transported to a local area hospital for treatment of her self-inflicted injuries. Once S-1 was medically cleared for incarceration, S-1 became combative with officers. S-1 was placed in a full body restraint system (WRAP) then transported to the main jail.
