Elk Grove Police arrest two for residential burglary

Late last night Elk Grove police arrested two men in connection with a burglary that took place on Coop Drive in the East Franklin area shortly after 10:30 pm. A caller alerted police to the suspects and gave a description of the vehicle and one of the suspects. Elk Grove Police arrived and observed the suspects leaving the area and conducted an enforcement stop near Elk Grove Blvd and Bruceville Road. They arrested two men, 54 year old Royal Southerland of Sacramento and 65 year old Trevor Mitchell from North Highlands. They were taken to the main jail.
