A Burlington Coat Factory employee was injured by a shoplifter last night at the store. The suspect, described as a black female in her 30’s, pushed a cart with items from the store out an alarm activated emergency exit door to an awaiting tan Volvo driven by an accomplice, described as a black male. An employee saw the incident take place and attempted to shut the back door to prevent the suspect from taking more items. The suspect dropped her cell phone. She then pushed the employee to the ground the retrieved her cell phone. The employee suffered minor injuries. The suspects fled through the parking lot.
On Sunday afternoon a woman was arrested at Burlington Coat Factory for trying to steal items from the store. She was arrested on burglary charges and outstanding warrants. Sacramento resident Dorothy Richards, age 29, was also found to be in possession of needle nose pliers.
