Local businesses to pitch in for Elk Grove Food Bank
Elk Grove Laguna Forums, Jeff Larcom of Larcom’s Lighting and several local businesses are teaming up to collect non perishable food goods for the Elk Grove Food Bank this holiday season. Beginning on Monday, November 14, barrels will be placed at participating businesses where residents can drop off food. The businesses will be located through out the city, allowing residents a convenient place to drop off food. The food drive will continue until Monday, November 21. Also Pets To Go will be collecting pet food for those in need with pets. They will take 20% off any food purchased at their stores for the Food Bank and left in the donation bin.
Elk Grove Food Bank Director Marie Jachino said, “The local need is greater than ever, especially with seniors and children. We also recently opened a Food Pantry at the main CRC campus, along with serving their Veterans Resource Center and Foster Youth students.”
Residents are encouraged to drop off perishable items directly to the Food Bank.
