Elk Grove Police arrest man on charge of kidnapping girl found in closet

Elk Grove police went to a home in the 4600 block of Story Way at the request of Solano County Child Protective Services to check on the welfare of a female juvenile. Officers contacted 28 year old Rodney Green of Elk Grove at the residence. He told officers he has not seen the victim in several months. Officers searched the home and found the victim in the master bedroom closet. According to officers Green threatened her and told her to get into the closet. Officers later determined that Green forced the victim into his car while she was walking down the street in Woodland a few days earlier. Green was arrested and transported jail where he is being held on $500,000 bail.
