Elk Grove police officers arrested two men in separate incidents Tuesday for possession of handguns that were stolen. In the first incident, Elk Grove police responded to a disturbance in the 6600 block of Baveno Way shortly after midnight. Officers were informed there was a gun in the suspects vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up a stolen, unloaded handgun. 27 year old Ahmed Yusufu was arrested and taken to jail and charged with two felonies, having a concealed firearm in the vehicle and possession of a known stolen firearm.
In the second incident, Elk Grove police stopped a vehicle for a vehicle code violation. The driver did not have a license. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a stolen, loaded handgun on the rear floorboard under the driver’s seat. A passenger, 18 year old Wesley Allen of Sacramento was arrested for two felonies. Having a concealed accessible and loaded unregistered firearm, as well as possession of a stolen firearm. He was also charged with two misdemeanors. Having a concealed firearm and receiving stolen property.
