Elk Grove man robbed as he returned home

An Elk Grove man was returning home in the late afternoon when he was robbed by three men. According to Elk Grove police, the man arrived home shortly before 6 pm Wednesday evening, when three people in a nearby parked car asked for help with their vehicle. As the victim approached the vehicle, one of the suspects, who the victim recognized, pulled out a handgun. A second suspect then took the victim’s wallet. All three suspects fled the area in a red vehicle towards Elk Grove-Florin Road. The suspects were described as black males. The victim was not hurt and police were not able to locate the suspects. The incident took place in the 8500 block of Blackberry Way
