Sheldon High grad is lead writer for Saturday Night Live

The Elk Grove area has it’s own connection to Saturday Night Live and the controversy with Donald Trump. Sheldon High graduate, Chris Kelly is the co-lead writer for the show that is now in it’s 42nd year. Kelly, who is 33, was raised in the Sacramento area. After graduating from Sheldon High School, he attended the University of California Irvine.

He went on to work at Funny or Die and The Onion News Network before joining SNL in 2012.
