Elk Grove Police respond to shots fired in East Franklin area early this morning

Elk Grove police officers responded early this morning to shots fired in the 6100 block of Demonte Way in the East Franklin area of Elk Grove.  When officers arrived, they observed a person walking away from the residence. They determined that the person was shot at, but was not injured. There was evidence found at the scene that indicated a shooting took place. The suspect was unknown and not found.

During the course of the call, officers did arrest two men not related to the shooting. John Gullet, a 61 year old white male was arrested for an active warrant. 19 year old Joshua Hernandez, a Hispanic male, was arrested for public intoxication near Benevento and Travo Way.
