Elk Grove Police searching for man accused of lewd acts on children

Officer Christopher Trim, EGPD Public Information Officer 916.627.3709 (Office) FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE December 19, 2016 SUSPECT WANTED FOR LEWD ACTS UPON CHILDREN ELK GROVE, CA – The Elk Grove Police Department is asking for the community’s help in locating 38-year-old Ronald Edward Northrup II (photo below), who has a no bail felony warrant related to seven counts of Penal Code 288(a) – Lewd Acts upon a Child. On December 15, 2016, detectives served a search warrant at Northrup’s Elk Grove home related to an active investigation focusing on multiple counts of Lewd Acts upon a Child, Penal Code 288(a). Northrup was not located at the residence during the warrant service. In phone conversations with detectives, Northrup has refused to turn himself in. Northrup is believed to be hiding in the Sacramento area and may be driving a 2006 Ford Escape 6GHW864. Detectives have also determined that Northrup does have access to firearms, but it is unknown if he is currently armed.
