Stolen vehicle pursuit ends accident, driver flees 

Last night at around 9:15pm, EGPD officers located an occupied stolen vehicle travelling on Bradshaw Rd. The driver of the vehicle had been involved in a vehicle burglary in Galt and possibly Elk Grove.

When officers attempted to conduct a vehicle stop, the driver did not yield and led officers on a pursuit that traveled 1 mile. Due to the erratic driving by the driver of the stolen vehicle, the pursuit was cancelled. The stolen vehicle was later involved in a collision at Calvine Rd/Bradshaw Rd. After the collision, the driver fled on foot. A perimeter was established and an extensive search was conducted with the assistance of a K9 and SPD helicopter. The suspect was not located. The stolen property was recovered inside the stolen vehicle, which was later towed.
