Elk Grove Police arrest two, find loaded handgun under front seat

Just after 7:30 pm last night, Elk Grove police officers responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle at the 5200 block of Deepdale Way. When officers arrived they observed Thomas Wilson, 36, of Sacramento sitting in the driver’s seat and 32 year old Jorden Ward of Elk Grove in the passenger seat. Ward was known to be on probation. Ward did not comply with officers requests and was detained. Wilson was also detained. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a loaded firearm under the driver’s seat as well as drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. Both men were arrested and taken to jail.
