An Elk Grove homeowner is angry that someone stole a baby Jesus from the nativity scene in front of his home. John Jennings talked to the Sac Bee about what happened in the story below.  This is just one of many thefts that occurred this holiday season in the Elk Grove area. In two posts on the Elk Grove Laguna Forums Facebook page, residents commented on Christmas decorations stolen from their homes as well.

The recent string of broken community mailboxes and package thefts from the front doorsteps of homes has Elk Grove residents very upset and angry, and local police agencies searching for suspects.

“John Jennings of Elk Grove says he won’t put up Christmas decorations any more after a baby Jesus was stolen out of a manger scene on his lawn. Two inflatable reindeer were stolen last month. He complained about the thefts on the social media website Nextdoor but did not report them to police. Elk Grove police urged people to report crimes, however minor.”
